The Westside Dental Studio team brings skill and experience from a variety of areas, ensuring that your oral care needs are always met. We understand that everyone’s dental needs are unique, and we’re always welcoming new patients of all ages.
Dr. Aaron Brooksbank, DDS, MS
Aaron Brooksbank, DDS, MS, was born and raised in Cookeville. He is happy to return to his hometown after several years away, which he spent training in general and specialized dentistry. After graduating with a BS in Chemistry from Tennessee Tech University, Dr. Brooksbank received a Master of Biomedical Sciences from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2020. He then completed a 1-year General Practice Residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. In this hospital-based program, he advanced his general dental skills while also focusing on more complex cases involving trauma, implants, and impacted teeth. He was on call for hospital trauma cases and worked extensively on patients with special needs. Dr. Brooksbank conducted research on surface sealants, which he presented at the Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta. The results of his research were later published in General Dentistry and Operative Dentistry. Dr. Brooksbank is a member of the Tennessee Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
In his free time, Dr. Brooksbank enjoys lake activities, snow skiing, attempting to play golf, and following the Tennessee Titans. He especially enjoys the time he spends with his wife, Laura, and their silver lab, Nova. Dr. Brooksbank is excited to be back in his hometown. He has watched the historic Westside district grow over the years, and he is happy to be part of this vibrant part of the community.
Laura – Dental Hygienist
We’re very grateful to have Laura as our dental hygienist! Laura graduated with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. She is extremely caring, meticulous, and gentle with every patient she sees. She enjoys developing trusting relationships with patients, educating them on the various dental procedures and products, and finds getting build-up off of teeth very satisfying.
Laura wears many hats at WDS – not only as our hygienist, but also as Dr. B’s better half! She’s been an integral part of the designing and building of our office.
Laura comes from a big family – including a twin sister! In her free time Laura enjoys traveling, audiobooks, binging shows, and spending time at the lake. She especially loves anything that includes being with her husband and their sweet Silver lab, Nova (@novathedentaldog).
Asia – Expanded Function Dental Assistant
We’re so excited to have such a kind, experienced, and talented assistant join our team! Asia has has been an assistant for over 10 years. She got her expanded function certificate from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. This allows her to use her artistic skills and expands her scope to place fillings, attachments for clear aligners, along with other procedures.
Asia grew up in nearby Clay County with a twin sister. When away from work she enjoys spending time with her husband, Drew, and their two boys, Sebastien and Oslin. She also enjoys camping and decorating cakes. We’re so fortunate add Asia to the WDS team and can’t wait for you to meet her!
Joan – Patient Care Coordinator
If you call or stop by the office, Joan is likely the one that will kindly greet you! She enjoys developing meaningful relationships with patients and seeing a new smile change their confidence! Joan has extensive experience in the dental field – both as a dental assistant and an administrator. She would be happy to get you scheduled and discuss any questions you have regarding your insurance benefits or financial arrangements for treatment. Joan grew up in Connecticut, but she moved to the Upper Cumberland area after living in Florida for 22 years with her husband, Brian, and their two sons. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking and exploring Tennessee, traveling to the beach, hanging out with her Lab and Corgi, and seeing live music. Joan’s favorite pastime is spending quality time as “Grammy” with her granddaughter, Annabella. We absolutely love having Joan on our team!
Sarah – Registered Dental Hygienist
Sarah graduated from Remington College School of Dental Hygiene 2019 in Nashville, and her career has been everything she imagined and more! She finds it satisfying to thoroughly remove build-up all while keeping you comfortable. She specifically enjoys working with high dental anxiety patients and takes joy in making you feel at home (as much as possible anyway)! We are excited to add a Cookeville native to our team! Sarah has spent the last six and a half years in Gallatin, TN but was more than ready to be back in her hometown. Sarah enjoys going to the lake, camping, and anything outside with her husband, Brian, and their almost two-year-old daughter, Piper. Between their three dogs and daughter, they are enjoying this season of life!
Jordan – Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
We are so excited to have such a cool, experienced, and caring assistant join our team! Jordan has been an assistant for 9 years. She got her expanded functions certificate from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. This expands her scope of practice and allows her to take on more procedures that are helpful to our doc! Jordan was born and raised in Cookeville! When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Seth, and their daughter, Remi. She loves going to concerts, musicals, and traveling. Her fav place to visit is Asheville, NC because of “the mountain life.” We are so lucky to add Jordan to the WDS team and can’t wait for you to meet her!
